The  ITF adaptation of Mini Tennis  which the  LTA brought into being.

ITF also accepted the use of  the smaller superceded balls.

12 years ago  when the LTA  started mini tennis all the ball companies were given a presentation by the LTA.at Queens Club  We were told that a bigger, lighter, softer, slower ball was required  to start children as early as possible into tennis
All other brands showed no interest
Derek Price being the  only one prepared to invest time and money in the ball development when asked by the now frustrated LTA.

Balls  were  supplied to the LTA,. After a year of testing. modifying and retesting  they finally decided they had the  perfect ball ! And it was christened the  RED 75
The only ball maker  in the UK and Europe. Tennis balls,Squash balls and other balls since 1936,
All other balls are imported and made down to  ‘price points’. This is not what we do, concentrating on  Quality, specials, top end products, personalized balls for all.

Tennis ball facts:
1. Balls used to be  bigger,  2. Are much harder than they used to be.  3. Tennis  has declined approximately 35%  during the past 25 years.

Balls for introducing  juniors into  tennis  started out  65mm diameter, then 70mm was used for a while, but after comprehensive development the Lawn Tennis Association  developed and  preferred ball size became
                                                                      75mm ...the Red75
Although since the ITF have became interested the ITF have taken a retrograde step back by allowing the  out dated and superceded smaller balls to be used. (Under pressure from other ball suppliers we believe.)
