History of Ian’s ‘Racketball’ .
Ian (Wright), Chester, Reg and others many years ago asked Derek Price to develop
and produce balls, for Ian’s new UK ‘Racketball’ that could be played on a squash
court.
The Racketball Association (Ian and other players) also asked for a slower blue
ball to be developed. Balls being imported were too lively and variable from delivery
to delivery. When development complete
PRICE balls were adopted as the‘Official’ Balls.
As the game grew the RBA (Ian) handed over the running to the SRA.
who later asked Derek to develop an intermediate speed ball between the blue and
black balls.
This became the National tournament ball. The original black ball still being used
by some best players.
